Butterfluent uses Google Analytics and PostHog to measure pageviews and product usage. The Google tag loads with privacy-focused consent defaults set to denied, and full analytics cookies and detailed measurement only start after you choose Accept Analytics. PostHog stays off until you opt in. Rejecting analytics does not affect sign-in, lessons, payments, or other core features.

The web session exists, but the extension launch path can still lose the return target and drop the user back at sign-in.

This usually happens when I log in on web, then open the extension from a fresh browser restart.
The session seems valid, but the extension handoff occasionally fails and sends me back through sign-in without preserving the intended return path. The result is not just annoyance. It makes the extension feel less trustworthy in the moment I am trying to start a study session.
Even a better error message would help while the root cause is being fixed.

I only see it after a cold browser start, which makes me think the return target is not surviving the first handoff.
What broke, where did it happen, and what were you trying to do when Butterfluent got in the way?
