How it works

Step 1
Install the Butterfluent extension from the Chrome Web Store. It activates automatically on supported streaming sites.
Step 2
Open any German content. The extension overlays clickable German subtitles with English translation below. Noun genders are color-coded automatically.
Step 3
Click any word for a full grammar breakdown: translation, gender (der/die/das), tense, conjugation, and example usage. Save words with one tap.
